My airplane is powered by a TSIO-550 engine; has plenty of power and T/O and climb at that weight is not a problem. I had Andy Chiavetta ask Greg Cole (one of the folks involved in the design of the Legacy) if the Legacy could handle a 2700 lb gross weight and was told it would be OK. I have the ability to carry 95 gallons of fuel so needed the higher gross weight. However, when flying at the higher weights I fly it the same way I flew airliners.
