I tried that one time when the temp had increased 50°F from the time I landed to when I wanted to take off. It didn't work. I have pressure gauges under my passenger seat. When I looked at the gauges, both pressures were at about 1,300 PSI. The internal pump valves must have open at that pressure. The dump valve did no good at all. Your solution only works if you don't need to use it.
