Although the flight response compared to the airplane I was flying was = not very accurate, I still found the sim extremely helpful. Caveat: it = depends what skills you are trying to perfect. If you are mainly after "Can I keep the plane right side up in the = presence of conflicting sensory inputs." obviously there's limited value = because most of the sensory inputs are missing. On the other hand if you are interested in refining things like the = below I find it exceptionally helpful and far more efficient than = training in the air: - am I looking at the right thing at the right time? - are the magnitude of my corrections on an instrument approach about = right? - did I execute my approach checklist effectively? - am I organized for the miss? - am I organized for a nearby alternate? - do I prioritize correctly in emergencies (helpful to have a buddy = control the emergency part of the sim)?
