I shipped my half finished kit from New Zealand to US in an ISO container.

Welded a frame of 1 inch steel square tube.

frame held fuselage at a 45 degree angle so that
the stub wings fit corner to corner in the container.

Frame bolted to firewall using the engine mount holes.
Frame also supported the empanage.

It took two people (with access to welding gear) three days to pack things up.
