John… I have the "new" ES manual in pdf along
with the supplemental pics. I also have a scanned version of the
"old" ES manual from another builder (Mike Newell). Let me know
if you would like either.

Most manuals seem to be there,
but the ES is orphaned as far as I can tell....?

I am not sure what you are talking about, but the Legacy
build manual is available as a PDF from the lancair "builder's"
site. I believe the others are available as well. http://www.lancair.com/builderaccess.html.
You can call Lancair to get a login and PW.

On a recent trip, we
experienced a mechanical breakdown 1000 miles away from our home base. After
many hours of work we were airborne and on our way. However, if we had the
build books for our aircraft with us we could have been done in far less
time. We carry a Kindle for our approach plates and our G900X user and
installation guide. We feel it is time for Lancair to have the build
books available for down load to our electronic devices so we can carry
them also. We have contacted Lancair with no reply.
