Most manuals seem to be there, but the ES is orphaned as far as I can tell....?

I am not sure what you are talking about, but the Legacy build manual is available as a PDF from the lancair "builder's" site. I believe the others are available as well. http://www.lancair.com/builderaccess.html. You can call Lancair to get a login and PW.

However, if we had the build books for our aircraft with us we could have been done in far less time. We carry a Kindle for our approach plates and our G900X user and installation guide. We feel it is time for Lancair to have the build books available for down load to our electronic devices so we can carry them also. We have contacted Lancair with no reply.
