It should be put on after the plane is painted. I would recommend putting = the caulk on after at least some of your time has been flown off. You = certainly won't need the extra 1 knot that sealing the gap might provide during = the test period. Just stick some electrical tape on it for the first = flights. When testing has progressed to the point that it's unlikely that you'll = want to remove the wings and take it home for any kind of adjustment, repair, = or modification you can put the caulk on. Doing it as Scott described is a relatively easy and quick task. Don't bother with it now.
