The p210 is = really a 4-place + dog airplane with really anemic climb. I had considered one for 1-2 people travel but concluded I would either = get a p210R (pricey) or a T210 for performance reasons. What about a T310R? 6 real seats and climb to spare. Currently going = for $150K to $200K for a nice one. no pressurization, and that sucks, but I don't see a comfortable = seriously 6-place airplane out there with pressure unless you go to a = 414 or a 421. Baron's a too small I think. ....Malibu maybe. or jet-prop or Meridian. all of those are range = challenged. Aero-star not big enough inside. The problem with the lancair is you can never get your money out of it. = but the flip side is spam cans are exceedingly cheap, especially twins. My solution was to get a bad weather family spam can (TR182 with tks) = and keep the lancair for me. I'm feeling a little T210 envy right now but we'll see how the economics = pan out. I was betting the TR182 would be 30% cheaper to fly. I was a big pressure bigot until I realized that I mostly fly alone and = the number of times I fly with passengers AND have to go above 12000 is = not that great. We'll see if they concur with me a year from now.... I had to = go to fl200 with the TR182 on the way back from OSH and didn't think it = was so bad as I had imagined.
