Thanks for the ideas. I believe the best location in the wing tip, but unfortunately, my airframe is finished and my wing tips are glassed on. I have mounted the antenna lower to a ground plane that my elt was on, behind the aft baggage bulkhead. After a test flight, and reviewing my radar data (being an air traffic controller has it's perks), I think the prop is still blocking it, but it seems better. I'll have to test fly more at higher altitudes, because it was dropping out before at 10,000 in some places. Attached are 2 pics of my new install and where I have the AAE antenna located.
