Thanks for the info Bill. I think that will be my last resort. Just trying to avoid drilling more holes. I moved it around with my elt antenna ground plane and will try it with my rod and ball antenna mounted very low on the left aft baggage bulkhead. Also, I might move the AAE to the opposite side down low. I Think with the AAE mounted flat against the side fuselage it has a dead area front and back. Maybe mounting it flat against the bulkhead would make that dead zone off the wing tips, which would be better because you are always moving forward, so the angle would always be changing from the radar. Has anyone mounted the AAE antenna with the flat side aligned with the lateral axis of the plane?
