We found two 8-10mm x 2mm curved steel metal fragments, while cleaning the magnetic plug during a routine oil change.  Consensus of our local mechanics and experts is that the fragments look like the bearing race from the starter adapter. We plan to pull the starter adapter next Monday to verify the source. I plan to talk to TCM Monday. We have not yet sent the fragments for further analysis. There have been no other starter or engine problems in ~580 SMOH.
1. Anybody see this before?
2. Would you pull the starter first or suggest another preliminary approach?
Thanks
