We found=A0two 8-10mm x 2mm curved steel metal fragments, while=A0cleaning =
the magnetic plug during a routine oil change.=A0 Consensus of our local me=
chanics and experts is that the fragments=A0look like the bearing race from=
 the starter adapter. We plan to pull the starter adapter next Monday to ve=
rify the source. I plan to talk to TCM Monday. We have not yet sent the fra=
gments for further analysis. There have been no other starter or engine pro=
blems in ~580 SMOH.
1. Anybody see this before?
2. Would you pull the starter first or suggest another preliminary approach=
?
