Now maintemamce is limited = to replacing the drive belt every couple annuals ($20.00-ish) and a = wipe-down to remove bugs from the leading edge. The weather is changing = in the Midwest and once again I am delighted to have the system on = board. Sure cuts out the pucker factor when climbing or descending = through layers.=20 Since my installation there have been others on fat-wing Lancair = brothers and recently on the RV-10, all with similar success. However I = learned that installation on the skinny-wing turbine was quite different = and the challenges were many, more with powering the unit than heater = application. I think your experience bears that out. There may have = been other IV-PT's more recent than yours with a better result. Sure = hope so because the added safety factor is great and the cost is = relatively small. Robert M.
