 This is exactly what I did.
 See attached pics.
 I als drilled a hole in a small pipe and wound the end of the steel rod
around making a perfect ring on the end to put your finger in to pull them
out...

 After 10 years of working on a slow-build LNC2, I decided I wanted
 to actually make this process harder, so I’m trying to duplicate Randy
 Snarr’s Legacy-style header tank and canopy mod (for a reference, check
 the archives for his post and pictures from 11/18/2007).  I’ve
 pretty much got it figured out, except that the additions to the header tank
 block the hinge pins that attach the header tank to the fuselage.  Here’s
 the question:  has anybody used a hole in the firewall to insert the hinge
 pins to attach the header tank to the fuselage?  Randy, please shed some
