Rob,
It has been a while (too long!) since I did my outback gear, but I believe that the outline of the outback doors was marked out on the the wing molding. It was just etched into the surface. Have a look and you may find that the position is marked for you.

Hey everyone,
I just picked up an almost-virgin Lancair 320/360 kit a couple of months ago
and have started construction. The original owner did some strange things
that seem (to me) to be out of order. After a significant number of
measurements, I've finally attached my belly pan. The original owner cut
out one of the gear door holes already, but soon, I'll need to do the other
one. When I go through the information I have about the Outback gear, I
have a flap supplement, a blueprint for the outback flap system, and a
blueprint for the gear assembly drawing. I'm assuming there is a blueprint
like drawing "B" for the outback cutouts?
Since the original owner already cut out one door, I could trace that
pattern and use it for the other cutout, but I'm concerned I'm missing
additional information like where to make the cut to divide the
inboard/outboard outback doors and maybe some information about the cockpit
closeout rib position. Before I bother the factory again, I wanted to see
if someone could tell me what I'm missing? FYI, I'm the third owner, the
original owner sold this kit almost 10 years ago and I'd think it is
unlikely he still has any information left.
Thanks,
