It is the way to go for interior.  I used Finesse which is basically the same thing.  My interior total weight is 12# including the 4# seats (2) including the foam.  It is super light, comes in tons of colors and textures and can even be punched.  Looks like leather without the heavy weight but cost about the same.  Doesn't show creases over time like leather.  Denim jeans will not turn it blue and their pant rivets will not snag it when sliding down into the seat.  Most chemicals will not screw it up either. 
 
The downside is what is under it has to be very smooth or imperfections from underneath will show (think head liner).  So the soft foam backing underneath panels and head liner may need to be sanded.
