The entire propeller and extension only weighs 45 lbs. Since I have an IO-390 engine which is a little heavier than the IO-360's the W&B worked out perfectly. The blades on MT's are repairable and the wood internal structure will be easy on the engine in the event of a prop strike. At 25 squared I get a solid 200 KTAS. From an efficiency standpoint a 2 blade will always do a few knots better than a 3 blade but will not be as smooth running.      I have a three scimitar blade = MT-12=20 constant speed prop on my LNC2.  The entire propeller and extension = only=20 weighs 45 lbs.  Since I have an IO-390 engine which is a little = heavier=20 than the IO-360's the W&B worked out perfectly.  The = blades on=20 MT's are repairable and the wood internal structure will be easy on the = engine=20 in the event of a prop strike.  At 25 squared I get a solid 200 = KTAS. =20 From an efficiency standpoint a 2 blade will always do a few knots = better=20 than a 3 blade but will not be as smooth running.
