Is the use of a cable-assisted closing mechanism something standard on the main gear doors of LIVs now?  I thought the beefed up springs (now two, was one in the early days, if memory serves) took care of most of the gear door problems.  Is the mechanical cable actuator an option from Lancair or an after-market add-on from a third party?  Any answers will be appreciated.  TIA
