Hi Dan,
I don't have Light Speed ignition but I still didn't like the overlap
that you referred to. I cut the baffling to make a close butt fit and
added a doubler behind. This may help to solve your problem also.

Subject: [LML] Baffling install on a Legacy with EI
For all of you Legacy buildings, IO-550 and a Light Speed EI, I have a
question about where to mount the front baffling. It makes sense that
it should be in front of the metal mounting plate for the sensor ring,
but when I did this, the metal plate distorted. The front plates
overlap and you then loose the flat surface for the mounting plate. I
am going to try putting the mounting plate aft of the baffling, but it
is going to require a little work to get the fit right.
How did you do it and any suggestions?
Pic is attached (hopefully small enough Marv)
