San Salvador Island in the Bahamas, Club Med. Great airport (no fuel), no hassles and the resort is a 5 minute walk from the airplane. All inclusive, great beaches, lots of activities including sailing and a professional dive operation, internet and easy legs to fuel and Customs back in Florida. Drawbacks include that it is not cheap after November and there is little else on the island. The clientele is largely European. The food is great and the place is fun. I have good pix if you want more detail.

The wife really wants to go somewhere warm and sunny after Christmas. I hate flying commercially. So I’m thinking “fly the little Lancair to the Bahamas”. I’ve started doing some research and it all seems feasible. Legs over open water aren’t too long…
Any suggestions of where to go, or even rental homes you’d suggest?
Thank you!
