I have the old strut.  Am not flying yet.  Strut was acquired with kit in
1996.  Approx one month ago had the strut reworked at Lancair - cost about
$1200.  Increased turn to 70 degrees, upgraded some other parts but elected
NOT to purchase the heavier walled cylinder.  That would have added about
$850 as I recall.  Will be taxiing and then flying in a few weeks it would
appear, so I don't have any reports on performance or problems.
