Re: Chelton SmartMedia Card and setting system
limits
I use the 32MB ScanDisk SmartCard, which will hold all the big
monthly terrain and NAV data. I always have a few extra
around.

The cards do fail, as does the card reader inside the Chelton (so
check the card in your other units).
You are doing it right.

Gents:
I seem unable to access the "Enter System Limits" option on
my Chelton system. I wonder if my SmartMedia Card, picture attached,
got fried somewhere along the way.
I have tried to purchase a new one at local electronics stores but
they don't carry this card (too old).
Does any one have a source for these cards?
My understanding is that you put the card in CPU #1 prior to power-up,
and that should take you into the menu to see/modify system limits and
parameters.
That's not happening. Am I doing something wrong? Or is my
card kaput and I just need a new one??
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
