Bucky, I have the problem without free fall the gear, during normal retraction.
If I extend the gear and promptly I retract again, the possibility to have the problem is high.

I'm start to think, as wrote William and Earl, the problem could be the missing of the low pressure line on the door cylinder.

Thanks

If you free fall the gear, you must pressurize the system to the down position before retracting. This pressurizes the system to allow the sequence valve to do it's job." SEQUENCE THE GEAR AND DOOR "
PS.  You are not alone, there have been many gear doors repaired because of this.

I have this problem on my Lancair 235.
Sometime, while retracting, the nose gear door close before the nose gear retract, as if there is a leak in the sequence valve; I changed the valve but there wasn't improvement.
It seem the problem happen if the time between extension and retraction is short but I'm not sure because it's random.

Someone has experienced a similar problem?
