At Sun&Fun, a Lancair builder asked where I got the aluminum rails installed on each side of my IV-P baggage compartment. At the time, I could only reply that they came from an auto supply house, and that I got the idea/info from Bill Harrelson.

I just found the receipt. They came from Truck Specialties, Inc. 888-765-1711, www.truckspecialties.com. They are called a “Core Trax Tie Down System.” I used the 48” silver pair, and bought two extra “load loks.” I cut the length to about 40” to accommodate my extended baggage area, but most airplanes would need much less. Total for the parts was $109.

Hope the fellow who asked me is on the LML! J

Bob
