I trimmed back the door frame all the way around to be even with the door stiffener.  Had to tilt my sticks in a few degrees inboard to get enough knuckle clearance in my ES.  Even though you probably will never need full aileron deflection, I felt it was necessary to have room for me to move the stick full travel without interference from the door frame.  Some guys have bent their sticks instead of just adjusting them which I think makes sense.  If you tilt the sticks inboard, you also move the elevator pushrods slightly inboard which could cause clearance issues with the interior panels.  Adjusting the sticks may also affect your aileron stops.

Anyone have some photos of the arm rest on the pilot’s side as well as how much they drimmed the door frame.

How much clearance is there for the side stick ?
