I must have missed the first post in this series.  What problem is this filter supposed to solve?  My TruTrack seems to work well except that during radio transmission it starts a gradual descent, recovering as soon as it's over.  I haven't considered it a serious problem, but if there is a cure I might use it.  I've also found that all the temperature readouts in my GRI drop at the same time.

The info on the filter came from Colyn.  I recently ordered the part:
FCE17-B25AD-250 from Digi-Key.  I got it and went to install it, unfortunately,
my Digiflight 200vs has a 37 pin connector. I just returned the part yesterday.
I hope your Trutrak uses the 25 pin connector.
