How to use the oil cooler vent door -- a question

If you have a good cooling setup
the question is really about optimizing engine oil temp not managing flow over
#2.
Therefore, I keep the door
closed unless the oil is getting over 200.
I'm not clear that #2 gets more
or less air than the other left side cylinders as you change the oil cooler door
setting. If anything, you sould just be changing the pressure above all
the cylinders. I don't notice that #2 is particularly
hot. It's good to have the oil cooler backed off of #2 enough so
that air can get by that part of the cylinder though. I have to confess
though, my oil cooler is backed off of #2 so I don't have any first hand
experience of what happens without that mod.
