Here are a few (pre-shrunk) exhaust tunnel
pics. Pipes on the white plane courtesy of Craig Berland. The
orange things inside the extension, seen in the rear view, are paper
thermometers.
In retrospect, I think Fred Moreno had a better
idea: cowl flaps. and I think he has no Dolly Partons on the lower
cowl.
There is no question the exhaust tunnels help the
flow but I am pretty sure they are not the fastest solution out
there.
