The report describes articles of clothing falling from the plane before the
crash,
which could only happen if the canopy was open.  

From my own experience and others here, it would seem that the canopy being
open on
a 235/320/360 is a non-event.  
From the description of the Longmont accident, the Legacy is entirely
different.
