IMHO, Steve Colwell's (aka Claudette's husband) suggestion to let the condensate formed in his oil separator return to a catch container is a good one.

I did the same thing on my LNC2 early on (using the aluminum unit from ACS) since I wanted to see what the stuff that came out of the separator looked like before plumbing the return to the crankcase. I hooked the output fitting of the separator to a small translucent poly bottle so I could see the contents without removing it. Wow! I wouldn't put that stuff back into my snow-blower's engine, let alone my Lycoming!

Small enough added detail to my "Annual" todo list to empty the catch bottle. Though I haven't had the gunk that's collected chemically analyzed, just one look at the stuff says it should not be poured back into any engine.

As Greyhawk says, "Your results may vary".
