I actually have no personal experience with ethanol as I have never had it in the tank. I have used pure 93 oct gas extensivly for years and HAVE done careful inspection of exposed hysol and tank sealer and have found no problem. Chemically, there is simply less energy in ethanol than in gasoline. If I was considering using ethanol (I'm not), I'd do plenty of out-of-airplane testing first.
