My Lancair 235 powered by a Lycoming 0290-D2 with 8.5 to 1 compression  and a MT electric 3 bladed prop flew great.  The performance was very much like a Lancair 320  I once flew a friends Lancair 235 with a Lycoming 0235 engine and a fixed prop and found it to be quite marginal.

Seems like lancairs usually will be powered by a 320 or 360 or better.
Does a 235/290 have enough power to fly pilot and passenger effectively.
Thanks,
Mike
