LOBO is growing rapidly in a little more than month since a group of Lancair owners/ builders/ fliers announced the formation of a Lancair type club.
Already more than 60 Lancair enthusiasts have joined the Lancair Owners and Builders Organization--aka LOBO.
LOBO board members and volunteers are working hard to make good on our promise to the members that we will make this type club the model for all aircraft type clubs; to improve our Lancair safety record and to make connections in industry and government that will benefit LOBO members.
Contacts have already been made with the FAA officials studying Lancair safety records; insurance company representatives, EAA and more.
As part of our strategic plan to reduce the Lancair accident rate and make insurance more affordable LOBO will be hosting a Lancair flight instructor standardization and evaluation conference in St. Louis to discuss and write Lancair flight training materials that reflect state of the art flight instruction methods.
LOBO will also be sponsoring a springtime owners maintenance clinic in the DC area much like Don Barnes very successful and popular West Coast event. We will also be sponsoring an Oshkosh event so look for more news as Airventure time approaches.
