I installed wingtip position lights from GS-Air on my Legacy.  They have LED lights for the position ("nav") lights and a strobe light for the anti-collision light.  The LED lights will likely last longer than I will, but the conventional strobe light will eventually need to be replaced. 

 

I just noticed on their website that they will soon offer LED lights for both the position lights and the "strobe" light.  If I were building again, I would definitely look closely at these lights:
