After about a week of battles I finally got the
starter adapter off the FADEC TSIO550. What a screwed up affair!
When I get it all back together I will post my findings in order
for it to be in the archives. Thank you very much to the people
that responded through the LML and phone calls. You were a great
help.
For those who have IV's or IVP's and have not had
the starter adapter fail, it will be time well spent to research the Iskra
starter problem. Do what ever you think is best but you do not want to
have to change out the starter adapter drive.
I think I am going back to the older, bigger,
heavier starter which releases the spring tension and saves the
drive.
