I have a 1/4" vent for each tank with the engine sucking from the header
and have never had a problem.........
That's the point of the calculation - it's not a problem.......

I have a Lancair 360 with the extended fuel tanks
and the 3/8" vent goes from the outboard tank to atmosphere. Never a
problem, fuel flows keep the engine purring and the wings show no signs of
collapse!!!!!
