He said the odds were extremely good that if my engine was not in the air and running at full power within about 20 of initial start, that the rings would never seat properly....that the only way to cure this problem would be a top overhaul. Somehow I suspect my engine would be running for quite a bit more than this period of time for taxiing, brake tests and general pre first flight stuff. Would any of you please comment on this?
