The tube that the 1/4 inch pin goes into is 0.435 OD but there is a section that is about .5 long that is .365 OD. Check out the drawing in the manual and you will see. The method I used was to drill a 0.325 hole 0.6 deep then tap 5/16-24 and make a tie down ring out of a -5 bolt. Byron, you can drill and tap the holes or, as it would happen since I saved my original tie downs and I have no use for them, you can send me your address and I'll send you three tie downs for the incredibly low sum of ...free (special discount for list members).
