Full motion simulator that meets FAA standards for landings (like what FlightSafety has for Citations) = $8 to $10 million.  Maybe less, if it’s been done before and the avionics system architecture isn’t terribly complicated.  Could be more.

 

Non-motion, but very high quality (like what SimCom does for Barons, etc.) = about $1.0 to $1.5 million.

 What is the cost to set up a simulator for an aircraft?  I'm familiar with the structure of a full motion simulator used by the gov for F18's but is that what is being used to train Citation pilots?  I agree good simulator training would be a great addition.
