I have a 1998 kit #399 IVP kit with a little over 600 hours in it and I
have been to Lancair for a week this year working on another guys IVP...
If you want to call me, I can give you a good rundown on the difference.
However if I were to pick just two things lacking in the old kits... It
would be 1, the door is not built. 2, the fuel tank sealer is not
painted inside the wings. (the new wings are 98% ready to close)

Subject: [LML] IV-P kit vintages?
LML Gang,
I am looking at a few of the "old" IV-P fast build kits vs. purchasing a
"new" fast build IV-P kit from the factory with all of the latest
enhancements. Do any of you know what the meaningful enhancements were
to the kit since the late 1990s? I think 1999 was a major upgrade to
the kit (more complete wings, flaps, ailerons, FB door, etc.).
Thanks!
