Friday Evening

Group,

I'm attaching pictures of one of our "re-do" items - left wing and aileron. On the first attempt, there must have been 8-10 bugs that decided to do "paint angels" and then die!  Not good, so we sanded and re-painted.  That little re-do cost me $440.00!  (2 men @ $40/hr for 11 total man-hours).

So, to get the left wing painted (twice), it probably cost me at least $1K by the time you count materials and my time (which is worth nothing).

Brad, at this point $20K would have been a "deal"!

I don't want everyone to get me wrong - I'm not complaining - just stating facts!  I want a nice looking airplane and I'm willing to go the extra step (and money) to get it.  After it is all over with, the money will be gone and the job will still be there.  I know that it could have been done cheaper, but I wouldn't have been satisfied.  (call me anal if you like)

I guess what I'm trying to do is point out to those who haven't "been there - done that"..........  Nice looking work can be expensive - just be prepared.

Enjoy the pictures.
