We are required to 'ground' our aircraft here in the UK and they also have
to in Australia. This is done by embedding 1/4" tinned copper braid from
wingtip to fuselage where it joins a similar braid from tail to engine
mount. The braid is steel riveted to the underside filler necks of each
fuel tank and an anchor nut riveted there too. A steel tab is then screwed
on to this anchor nut from the upper wing skin, right next to the filler
cap, for grounding prior to fuelling. I have a diagram of all this if it
is helpful.
