You can use a rod end with 0.25" threads (fits very good with the 6mm threads) and appropriate sized spherical bearing to get the length you need. Aurora (from ACS) makes a good and cheap female rod end bearing for this application. The rod end bearings on both ends makes installation very easy cause you can angle the gas struts outboard to clear the bolt head/nuts without any fear of binding. SPD does have a good sales staff that will work to try to find a size and force rating that will work for your application. -Ed Sikora >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
