While your were
sleeping, or watching Bill O’Reilly, I’ve taken Scott’s Race Turn
spreadsheet and extended it to incorporate Load Factor, and Accelerated Stall
Speeds based on the demonstrated stall of my aircraft after take-off at MTOW.
Anyone can type in their own (stall) speed reference,
and the spread sheet will update the speeds.
I think this chart now shows how
(dangerously) close to the edge one is when flying a turnback manoeuvre. Pilot
error or just plain turbulence may put you past the PNR.
Cheers

is an EXCEL spreadsheet to calculate data about turns - just fill in the colored
entry with the airspeed in Kts.
