Sport Aviation has an article about detecting Jet A in 100 LL in the May '08 issue that discusses rubbing it between your fingers, smelling, drying a small amount of fuel on a piece of white paper. They highly recommend being present for all fueling of your aircraft. I'm guilty of filling out the slip of paper at the FBO and leaving. An angle that hit home for me is the way I've labeled my fuel caps. I have very nice engraving on my caps that meet the legal requirements but are far below the standard fuel labeling we see on certified aircraft. I'm thinking my engraved caps make my wings look very elegant, but sacrifice safety by not having clearly labeled fuel tanks. GAMA has developed decals designed specifically to minimize misfueling. 65 cents each! _http://www.gama.aero/pubs/itemDisplay.php?catalogID=28_ (http://www.gama.aero/pubs/itemDisplay.php?catalogID=28) Mike Easley Colorado Springs **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
