I have the Aerocrafters swing in hinged rear window on our Legacy but it would not be my first choice.  I recently saw a swing out baggage door on Ralph Love’s Pink Panther Legacy in Mark Mahnke’s Redmond shop.  It would be much easier to crawl thru and doubles as a baggage door.  They worked out a external piano hinge that is very clean and simple.

I witnessed a Questair Venture do a slow flip on its back at the Reno Races a few years ago when it rolled a few feet off the side of the runway.  It took 8+ guys and over 15 minutes, even as well prepared as they are, to lift it high enough for the pilot to crawl out.  You can bet fuel was running out and everyone was very lucky it did not catch fire.
