I am getting ready to install my new Garmin avionics to upgrade the panel
from VFR to IFR. Could anyone please enlighten me as to the procedure of
obtaining IFR certification. I have installed all equipment required in the
minimum equipment list ( MEL ) FAR 91.205. I know a current Pitot Static
check is required. Is there any specific forms that must be forwarded to
FAA/ FSDO. I'm curious about the process and wish to ensure I adhere to all
rules and fly legal IFR.
