I haven't measured my clearance from tip to the ground but I've taxied
through dip and bumps and never hit the prop. I do keep my front strut full
but still has plenty of cushion. I get outstanding performance with this prop.
I just posted an ECI cold air induction system installation on LML a few
months age. I'm getting a consistent 216 knots cruise at 4K ~ 5K feet with
this prop. This plane was raced at Reno with this prop. You will need to get
an extension, about 2 1/2" to 3 " I believe. But it's much less money then the
F7068-2 prop, about 12K. You can get a used Mooney prop for around 2K, have it
cut and overhauled and a prop extension. You can use the Lancair spinner and
backplate from Kitparts, or an ACS spinner kit but it requires modifications.
 I have a brand new F7068-2 prop in the box I haven't tried yet. I don't think
it will out perform the one on there now.
