Matt, it all depends on how high you mount your rudder pedals. In my
installation I used the adjustable pedals which have a much narrower
mounting footprint (left/right) than the standard installation. I built
the subfloor just high enough to attach the assembly and angled it down
(aft lower). I have plenty of toe room and have a bunch of stuff mounted
on the bottom of the header. As an added bonus, doing it this way will
give you a lot more shin room.
