Mike,

I have been watching this as I have a short dyno mount I can part with for
less than you will have to pay from a manufacturer. It came new with the
kit in 1992 and was installed but never finalized. I bought the kit in
progress and have since replaced it with the long mount because of CG and
the extra room. I am using a 360. I too would suggest you go with a long
mount. But if you can’t or just don’t want to I have one. I also had to
extend my cowling. Lancair was not able to get me a cowling because the
molds were bad. We ended up extending the short cowling I had. If you want
I can send pictures of this procedure also.

As a new 320/360 builder of kit #546 (4th owner) I came away from the
purchase with a few items missing. Next time at taking ownership of a kit,
I'll do a thorough inventory, even if it is snowing and the wife and helpful
friend are freezing. Anyone in the group with info on locating the following
would be sincerely appreciated.

Needed: A complete (or individual components) hydraulic system including the
pump, reservoir, plumbing, switches, etc. Or maybe I'll get lucky and you
know where mine has wandered off too in the Northern Utah area. Also need
the two aft windows, preferably light grey in color. These may be with the
already mounted bulkhead hydraulic assembly. As well, the right side rudder
pedal assembly and brake cylinders took a hike with the previously
mentioned items. And lastly, the wing tip lens flew the coop.

As part of my current Lancair learning curve, I have ended up with a
mis-match of engine and engine mount. I have a nice white short mount of
the Dynafocal #2 type. I would like to find for trade or purchase the short
(or long) Dynafocal #1 mount. Took a while to educate myself with the help
of the Lancair folks regarding engine mounts, isolators, cowling styles and
design changes to make, but it's all clear(?) now! Thanks in advance for any
help with my treasure hunt.
